Jill contacted me two weeks prior to her and Kim’s intimate backyard wedding in Winthrop, Washington looking for a last minute photographer to document their family. Their small ceremony took place along the Methow River and was full of love and deep connection. It was at this wedding that I captured one of my all-time favorite portraits of Jill’s mother. Taking the time on a wedding day to pause and photograph the family, especially the parents, will always be a priority of mine. I am no stranger to the fragility of life and treat these moments with as much care and importance as the first look or ceremonial kiss. This small ceremony is a testimant that the size of a wedding is irrelevant. It’s the love amongst the people present that brings true life to any union.
From Jill
Megan was a joy to work with. From our initial contact, to the final finished photos, she was professional, kind and easy. She captured our special day with incredible ease and insight. We hardly knew she was there, but she clearly knew where to be and when. We have the most beautiful photos of every important moment of our day. She took amazing portrait shots, and the candid shots were a treasure to behold.
